XLockFree processes your files entirely in-memory on Cloudflare's edge network. Your files are never written to disk, never stored in a database, and never retained after your download completes. No account is required, and no personal information is collected at any point.
When you upload a file it is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a Cloudflare Worker. The Worker reads the file from memory, strips the requested protections, and returns the unlocked file in the HTTP response. Both the original and the processed result are discarded immediately — they exist only for the duration of the single network request.
Cloudflare may retain standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, request path, timestamp, HTTP status code) as part of their platform operation. XLockFree does not access or store these logs. File names, file contents, and passwords are never logged at any level.
XLockFree sets no cookies and loads no third-party tracking scripts. The only third-party resource loaded is JSZip from the Cloudflare CDN, used solely to create ZIP archives in your browser for batch downloads. No analytics, no advertising, no fingerprinting.
